Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy

BAR PURITY has developed the following objectives in matters pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality Charter.

Principles

  1. BAR PURITY’s policy is to operate in a manner, which preserves health, safety and a sound environment.
  2. For BAR PURITY, the minimum acceptable standard is to meet our legal, health, safety and environmental obligations, whilst we aim to keep improving our standards.
  3. BAR PURITY believes that good health, safety and environmental performance is an integral part of efficient and profitable business management. We recognize, therefore, that these matters rank equally in importance with other management responsibilities and that success in these areas depend on the involvement and commitment of everyone in the organization.

Commitment
As a consequence of BAR PURITY’s overall commitment to preserve health, safety and a sound environment, we will:

  1. Provide and maintain healthy and safe working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all employees
  2. Ensure the protection of the health and safety of other people who may be affected by its operations e.g. contractors, visitors, customers and the general public.
  3. Prevent, or if that is not practicable, minimize and make safe, releases to air, water and land of substances that could adversely affect human health or the environment.
  4. Reduce waste at source by careful use of materials, solid minerals and other resources and maximize production opportunities.
  5. Consider, early in the development stage, the likely environmental impact of new products and processes.
  6. Maximize employees’ involvement in health, safety and environmental matters by effective communication and encouraging their active participation.
  7. Recognize and respond constructively to community concerns about health, safety and environmental aspects of its operations.
  8. Provide sufficient resources in terms of people, training, plant and equipment to meet its health, safety and environmental commitments.
  9. Set targets for improving health and safety at work and environmental protection, whilst carrying out regular internal assessments and annualreports on performance
  10. Ensure that each of its locations adopts policies in keeping with these principles and commitments, which also describe the local organization and arrangements for putting them into practice.

Review
This statement of policy supersedes all previous such statements issued by BAR PURITY. The policy and its effectiveness will also be reviewed regularly.
